I recently graduated with distinction, earning a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. I wrote my thesis on influence maximization, exploring the potential of utilizing the friendship paradox to enhance the spread of influence in networks. During my studies, I completed an internship at adidas Runtastic , where I contributed to the backend for the adidas Running app, serving millions of users with high-scale.
My journey into software began at the age of 17, and has since led me to explore various frameworks and programming languages. The following ones are currently my favorites:
Outside of academics and work, I am passionate about software engineering and enjoy watching content related to it on Twitch and YouTube. In my leisure time, I enjoy sports, piano, anime, traveling, playing video games and occasionally creating content on TikTok.
The following lists my working experience. No open source or side projects included. You can find me on LinkedIn.
August 2021 - Nov 2021
After a coding contest and an interview, I was happy to be chosen as a backend intern by todays called adidas Digital Sports Team. I completed a four-month internship at Runtastic GmbH (adidas Running) as a Backend Developer. During this period, I primarily worked on maintaining and enhancing various microservices using Ruby. Initially, I was part of the Social Tribe, contributing to the development and maintenance of the social network and gamification aspects of the Adidas Running and Training apps used by millions of users.
This experience provided me with valuable insights into scalable web architectures and databases. I gained hands-on experience with developing and optimizing microservices. Additionally, I learnt a lot about Docker and Kubernetes, and further developed skills in TDD, CMS, message queuing, and job systems such Sidekiq.
All kinds of projects: pet projects, bachelor's and master's projects, fun projects, etc. Many more on my GitHub.
